sheila,

Yes, the iMAC has a port that can be used to add an external Zip
drive. Tell your husband to relax :*)

<<Andy, is it possible for the Zip to be used with apple's upcoming iMAC? SR>>

First things first, Hi Sheila and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

The iMac maybe news to us and computer shoppers in general, however, I truly doubt that this is surprising news to IOM's senior level personnnel. Especially when you factor in the kind of relationship these two companies have and continue to have.

With the imac and upcoming of Window's '98 a couple of things are certain:

1. IOM needs and probably will come out with a UBS Zip

2. Without a floppy in the iMAC, the backward compatibility issue that Sony and Imation (no to mention a couple of morons on this thread) have been beating us to death with is DEAD!!!
