I have a gateway, but not a destination. My experience with Chase On line banking is similar. I completely agree with you on Chase's ineptitude. Not only do they seem totally ignorant of what's in the market competing with them, they also seem to have no clue how to treat a disgruntled end user.

I have switched to Microsoft Money, and I'm investigating Quicken. MSM seems to bypass all Chase's limitations. I'd try switching software before changing banks. And call Gateway's customer support (5:00pm Sunday is a good time) if you still have trouble. They're good, once you get a hold of them.

Regarding poor on-liine service from Chase, I have heard of the same from Wells Fargo and others. I use Compass Bank in Texas and can highly recommend its online service. No problem yet and very reliable. I connect through Quicken and it works together seemlessly.
