[DATABASE] Some comments on the growth rate of the TAVA database

Great work by all 'Red chip visitors'!

In my mind I have the following size figures from the past:
- Autumn 1997: around 5000
- Beginning this year (CC of Februari!?): around 9000

(if somebody knows the exact figures; please correct! I did not check older posts, I take them from memory).

So there seems to be a steady increase in number of items; of about 5000 items every 3 - 4 months (rough estimate).

This makes the database more and more useful; and makes the service offering more and more attractive.

We have to keep in mind what it means if a (large) customer has no compliance database available; or has just recently started to build it for itself (of course, only for items that are owned by that particular customer). Just read all accounts on how difficult and complicated it is to get real good, consistent and useful compliance information from vendors.
Increasingly, large organisations just do not have time to build their own database anymore. This makes the TAVA selling proposition more and more attractive.
