(NASDAQ:MCOM.O) today announced the appointment of Timothy A. Dreisbach as president and chief executive officer. Dreisbach will take over from Robert Dilworth, who remains chairman of the board. Dreisbach brings over 25 years of high technology and management experience to the position, most recently as president and CEO of Premenos Technology Corp. His appointment concludes a comprehensive search led by Metricom's largest investor, Vulcan Ventures Inc. Metricom is a leading provider of wireless data network and Internet access services.
