If that was true everybody would be shorting the option with the most open interest with the specialist. If you believe this, short S3's May 7 1/2 calls and make millions. But wait, if you shorted then who bought your calls??? The specialist. That's right the specialist isn't always short calls or puts they are long as well mainly to hedge. Trust me on this one you're way off base. I used to trade on the CBOE and work with the specialist.
