Ann; Your post is very interesting, in that it states the truth, and misses the point completley. Religion is often harmful. What G-d is after is an intimate and personal relationship with his creation. All the good feelings, living in the present will I my opinion lead one to a dead end. Without G-d, the love that we seek will only be a shadow of the truth he has for us. Remember it was Yeshua who concentrated on Love G-d and Love your neighbor. Love G-d is the first and most important commandment. This is the most beautiful and simple philosophy for today and any time.
