Shane,

There are many who feel the equips are overvalued b/c of the DRAM situation. Please check out the link on this post and note the IDC #'s for 256MB DRAM growth over the coming years. $200 Million in 1999 to $9.4 Billion in 2001. They had better be ready....

Shane and David:

Applied Materials shutdowns have been known in the analyst community for weeks. Layoffs have been rumored as long. This is not really news, although a temporary impact on stocks is possible.

WJ has a product line too dependent on DRAM and not well positioned for advanced technology - following their take on the market is not really mainstream. Be careful.

People have been losing money in DRAM for a while now. No new news.

256 mb DRAM??? May be significant in 2003. Who cares? We are at 16 mb today, and were at 4 mb in 1994. Now getting ready for 0.18 technology - that's another subject.
