If RDRT is so behind the curve how did they attract Dr. Re of IBM and Seagate's guy, too?

WDC starts using IBM stuff in June of 1999. That seems like a long time away in an industry whose product cycles are as little as 6 months. This sector crashes and explodes, usually only one or the other. I am guessing it is more likely to explode upward then crash below book value.

Could someone who has watched this industry more closely then me comment on whether this sector typically goes below book value? Current cash is $4.71 and book is $9.46.

Thanks, Dennis
