>>> agreed that #daytraders is a useful sight for those interested in active, volatile stocks.

The CNBC news is better and safer to use than the news given on #daytraders.

A little hint...often the people reporting that news in #daytraders room, have already prepared their order to buy/sell, or have already bot and are getting ready to sell, the minute the daytraders room people are buying!!

It's a dog eat dog world of trading

Someone trying to copy SI.Check it out:

siliconinvestors.com

This is an interesting example of how certain internet sites will dominate an area by being first on the block.Somehow I think SI has got the financial forum area locked up...guess that's why they got 33 million for it!

Steve, do any of your traders use the 6 and 10 day volatility reading in combination with the 100 day(50% or greater under) for scan selection of initial picks?...If they do what filters do they use with it? I have been applying 10 day range expansion, 180's, RS moving above 50, and now ADX moving up in late teens or early 20's, as filters...But am looking for new ideas on filters to implement...
