James --

I'm not sure how the different products are designated, but I've heard Siemens has more ownership of the 36190 than NN. At the recent H&Q conference Peter Sommerer was asked what would happen when the 36190 replaced the 36170 and he said, first of all, that that was a long ways out and, second, NN had rights to software upgrades. From this I'm guessing the shared R&D refers to any changes going forward. I'm sure someone knows how these things work.

Now, a question for everyone: What's the status of NN's IP technology? Is this a weakness and, if so, how is it being addressed?

Thanks in advance.

Pat
