Janice, I work for a major corporation (UVN), and have worked at several others (including CNBC), and I can assure you that letting people know that major announcements are coming is not unusual, even for these companies. Hell, CNBC makes a living off of these rumors...

CNBC deals, to a very considerable extent, in rumor. And they're very often embarrassingly wrong. But of course there's nothing wrong or unusual in a company's saying: "We're giving a press conference next Wednesday at eight a.m. ET".

Quite different for hypesters to promise "Big News" daily. And that's the point of my original comment: JimB is forever promising "Big News" for all of the stocks that Top Dog takes an interest in. Better double up before tomorrow! Or average down! Whatever!!!
