I just spent a good amount of time on the borders.com site and, well, I've just
gotta say: Wow!!! I had only intended to check it out for a second time but I ended up
buying a video I'd been looking for and a couple of CDs. And this on a book site!

Gary,

I do not want any one on this thread thinking you and I are similar LOL:-) I also found the Borders site excellent. Laura has been looking for a certain documentary by PBS that is a collectors set for years. Borders had various versions or at least various versions they could order. I was confused about the differences and sent an email to customer service and received this reply within a few hours.

"Thank you for contacting us at Borders.com!

We offer two publications of Ken Burns' "The Civil War" Collector's Set.

The set priced at $149.98 contains 9 VHS tapes and was produced by
Turner Home Entertainment. It also offers closed captioned, HiFi and
stereo sound.

The set priced at $179.95 also contains 9 VHS tapes and HiFi sound, but
was produced by PBS Video.

Please let me know if you'd like any additional information and thanks
again for shopping at Borders.com!

Dana.

Needless to say I placed my order.I also received a call from a customer service person in Tenn asking if all went well:-) This was a Sunday and Mother's Day to boot.

Back to the tax issue:

BGP main office is in MI and the wharehouse is in Tenn. They are charging sales tax in only those two states. Hmmm....
