To all-- For fun, I clicked on the LT chart of HP on the Yahoo site: quote.yahoo.com I had my finger on the trigger when it stock price stagnated in 97, and, obviously, I'm glad that laziness and paying taxes inhibited me. I've had HP since '89 and someone wrote on this thread that it was a single hitter and rarely hit a home run. IMO, the current run-up before earning probably means someone knows something we don't. good investing (and think long-term) --- fred
