I wonder how long that HP marketing guy will have his job. That was pretty stupid, gave Dell a lot of free press, made HP look like out-of-it dinosaurs, for what? If Dell delivers in 5 days on average, this guy was betting in a pretty public way that he would get the one in 10 delivery that takes longer than a week? Maybe he had no idea what Dell's delivery is like and just shot from the hip. I wonder what other smart decisions a well-informed guy like that is making. I would love to be a fly on the wall when that guy's boss discusses his value-add as a marketing executive...
