Yes, Bob - that is the problem with each individual interpreting the so-called written word. Every person brings different attitudes, experiences, word-meanings(especailly ancient language) to the table.

Man's interpretation of bible passages to suit his own means has been one of the worst hipocracies in religious history. I'm certain this type of interpretation happens with every text than any humans on earth consider straight from god.

In my opinion, if a creator wanted to leave written commandments and moral directives & guides for us earthlings to use in our daily lives, he would have printed them across the clear blue sky above us. That way we could simply look up and be reminded of his advice. Any creator capable of creating these magnificent universes certainly would have used a more efficient method than setting his dogmas down on easily perishable materials. Afterall he would want his written word to be enduring.

Back to the stock market. I thought that was why we were all here.
Maybe god could install a real-time ticker to stream across our skies. We wouldn't even need a T.V. or computer:-)
