Regarding the Texaco/Shell refinery merging....I have no information on that....BUT....since someone here or on Yahoo posted that Mark said that merger was standing in the way of the RNTK/TX deal, I called Mark and explored the issue. Mark feels that person misinterpreted his remarks. Specifically, Mark said he simply said that TX is a large company relative to RNTK and likely has many ongoing negotiations that dwarf the RNTK negotiations. Hence (my interpretation) the RNTK/TX deal is not on TX's front burner. Summary: The deal is big for RNTK, small for TX. But, hopefully, important for TX in the long run. Patience........ H.W.
