The Marfontein area,according to recent press releases,was explored in the 1980's. I am sure that there was an indication of the potential of the area. SUF have been putting out NR about M1 as well. As you are aware ,your first posting (43),SUF are using ex-DB people. See SUF homepage details on Mr.David Gadd-Claxton. I agree that it would be a good marketing strategy by DB to enter into a jv with SUF re Klipspringer. Both parties would benefit from such a jv for obvious reasons.
