In joining the SkyStream executive management team, Chao will apply 14 years of marketing and sales experience in the digital video technology market to accelerate SkyStream's market acceptance. During his eight years at C-Cube, Chao served in several marketing and sales management positions across the company. Most recently, Chao oversaw all aspects of marketing for C-Cube's PC/CODEC Division, covering DVD-PC, consumer PC MPEG CODECs, and broadcast-prosumer MPEG CODECs. He was instrumental in establishing C-Cube's presence into the PC market, and established key customers and partners including Intel, Toshiba, Creative Labs, Dell, Miro/Pinnacle, Gateway and Compaq. Prior to his role in the PC market, Chao was the strategic accounts manager covering the digital broadcast industry, where he managed key relationships with Scientific Atlanta, General Instrument, Thomson Consumer Electronics/DirecTV, Philips Broadband and AT&T. Prior to joining C-Cube, Chao spent six years with Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector in a variety of sales management positions in the Bay Area, most recently as senior strategic accounts manager. Chao earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley.
