Do you really think the discourse on this thread can so readily affect the market?

DocStone--you may be over-simplifying the record here, so I want to clarify a few things.

Over the weekend, people on the Yahoo thread and here noted that H-P had e-commerce news due out on Monday. I was interested in whether the technology might possibly include the WaveMeter, competed with the WaveMeter, or in the future would be complemented by the WaveMeter. I'm still interested in that issue, btw. This is a relevant, neutral inquiry unrelated to speculation.

Some people here and on Yahoo thought H-P might include the WaveMeter. It was a possibility. Assuming WAVX is a trading stock, a surprise announcement involving H-P offers day trading opportunities for those who wish to actively trade a portion or all of their holdings in WAVX--either accumulating or selling on the news. Point is, being poised and watching H-P's news today was the prudent thing to do for those without access to comprehensive inside information. (Personally, I did nothing today trading-wise in WAVX, not that I expect anyone to care.)

I also was curious to see if you or your source cared to comment on H-P. Your and misc123's responses were relevant to me, and continue to be so. Thank you.

I mentioned H-P's sizeable presence in San Jose (Palo Alto), because often news leaks where the negotiations are taking place. Your source had mentioned San Jose, so why not ask if there was any connection whatsoever between the investors and H-P? Again, to me, disconnecting the two is as important as associating them.
Of course, the lack of detail in your source's rumors leads me to discount them until other facts begin to coincide.

You can go back and read my posts. I have not drawn any conclusions or prompted speculation, only asked questions and referred others to news stories. Someone may see something in those stories--good, bad, or indifferent--that I did not see, so I am asking people with more knowledge of the technology to comment.
