Sorry this response to your post was delayed, Donald, but the market was open--"god helps those who help themselves" as I'm sure you know:-)

You asked about children. Yes, I've 3 wonderful human beings I'm thrilled to call my children. Saw all of them yesterday(Mother's Day in U.S.)

Here's my feelings about children:

Being a parent is the most important task a human being can accomplish in life - both women & men. It is our way of leaving the world a better place by guiding our little angels(all children are born angels--meaning completely innocent) to be honest, responsible, cheerful, happy people.

How do we accomplish this awesome duty??

l) by disciplining with good humor(you can teach more with a smile or laugh than with stern or angry words or actions).

2) by remembering that babies are born perfect little human beings. Our job is to keep their delightful joy of life intact as much as possbile while still showing them how to pleasant people whose company others will enjoy.

3)give well-defined consistent guidelines as far as helping with household chores(according to a child's age), fair play, respecting their playmates and expecting the same in return, etc.

4)most importantly we need to teach them to keep themselves physically safe in all ways. Taking the time to show them how to cross a busy street. Explaining, once they're old enough, that most human beings can be trusted but they must follow certain rules as far as strangers are concerned to ensure their safety.

5)teach them about a loving god. One that especially loves children.
Don't get overly stern but gently teach them that god wants them to be honest & kind to others.

What century did "we are told to judge the fruit of a woman's life, not her words" in your last post come from?? The 17th Century? We can judge a woman in the same way we judge a man.
