Gadzoox Networks Appoints Storage Industry Leaders to Key Posts

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 1998--Gadzoox Networks, Inc., the industry leader in Gigabit-speed Fibre Channel storage area networking (SAN) products, today announced that storage industry innovator Howey Chin, who is widely credited with introducing the concept of the Fibre Channel hub to the storage industry, has been named chief strategic officer.

Chin has been with Gadzoox since 1994 as vice president of marketing. In a related move, David Tang, who has played a major role in developing the SAN market and is credited with coining the term ''Storage Area Network,'' has been appointed vice president of marketing. Tang has been the company's director of business development since 1996. These organizational changes emphasize Gadzoox' commitment to maintaining technology, product and market leadership in the SAN market.

In the newly created position of chief strategic officer, Chin will focus on defining the strategic direction of Gadzoox.
