I never thought you were implying that others should sell. I am as itchy as the next guy when it comes to locking in profit, and when we hit 20 1/2, It took all I my will power not to sell. I was just curious why you sold today, where as I have no desire to sell today, and saw no reason too, unlike last week when she was peeking. just curious why my short term instincts did not kick in with yours. That is all.

Mike,

Not to beat a dead horse...but remember that when you lock in a profit with the intention to get back in after a dip, that dip must be larger than the tax that you pay on the original gain...otherwise, it's a trade that wasn't worth making....if one assumes a 20% tax, the stock needs to drop $0.20 for every dollar gained plus a round trip of commissions just to make a break even trade.

Just some thoughts..
