The outcome is not determined. Because of his love he gave us a choice. It would not be love if he did not. Because of this choice we are free to reject G-d, and many have. Having fear of an all loving G-d, who has the power to create life, and also who is sinless is natural. If I met the President or Pope, I would have apprehension. Meeting the sovereign G-d would certainly cause me a moment of fear. I will address this more later this evening or tomorrow as I have a date with my wife, and the sitter is here. Talk with you all later.

Hi Mark,
I believe the fear spoken of in the Bible is a teachable spirit. A quiet spirit of respect to a much greater wisdom that will inspire us to act on His advice and ways and not depend on our own ways. Most every time He came into this world the people were in fear and He replied to not be afraid in a very gentle way. Elijah saw His Spirit on the mountain and it came first with earthquakes a strong wind and fire and then a quiet whisper that made Elijah cover his head for that was the Spirit of God in that whisper. Dueteronomy 5 has my favorite verses on the fear of the Lord. Moses had just been told by all the Elders of Israel that they were afraid of the Lord and could not take anymore of His Glory or they would die. God told Moses that he heard them and was glad. He said" Oh if they would fear me and keep my commandments all the days of their lives THAT IT MAY GO WELL WITH THEM AND THEIR CHILDREN FOREVER. I do not want my children to be afraid of me but I do want them to fear going into the street where they can be harmed. It is what people do in response to fear that is the problem IMO. I have asked before why we have to die in this life, surely a loving God would not make us have to die or suffer. There is order in God that holds the Universe together and that requires rules. Yeshua said that Heaven and earth can pass away but His words will never pass away. That to me is part of the order that is the very power of God.
In the Old Testament God was always angry at their fear of anything other than Him. Like Joshua and Caleb were the only ones that did not fear the Caananites and pleased the Lord. Saul was scared of his own shadow but David marched out to the giant as a young boy. So for all this I am saying that any fear we have is to motivate us to grow spiritually by obeying God all other fear is destructive :-)
