If you want to generate income by flipping calls, my opinion has become to simply flip the stock on the volatility, since the price drops directly and the spread is small. These shares will be available in same range for quite a while, and its safer to be in cash waiting for the stock to fall than in stock waiting for it to rise. carrying a long-term cap gain is the exception, now with new tax rule even people with modest incomes can benefit from short/long difference. Options expiration will pressure the price towards 40, you ought to be able to write 40 puts sometime soon. Greg
