<<OT: Weby, At The Risk Of Getting The Officious Know-It-All Award...

A slight correction. At least, according to Red Herring, (which
I admit has not been overly precise lately), Wired Digital retains
certain brand names, etc. Anyway, here's the snippet from the
RH article...

***********

The sale did not include the money-losing Wired
Digital, which has pinched profits for parent company
Wired Ventures even after Wired magazine inched into
the black last year. Wired Ventures officials aren't yet
saying what plans they have for Wired Digital, which
includes Wired News, HotWired, and Suck.com, and
operates the Inktomi-powered HotBot search site.
A crucial part of the deal is that Wired Digital gets to
keep all online rights to the Wired brand name. As a
condition of the sale, Wired Digital will continue to
republish the magazine's articles online and provide a
Web presence for the magazine for at least three years.
Wired Digital will keep all revenue from online banner
sales on Wired's archives.
