Hello Alan

Just back from Montreal and briefly attended six hours of a similar conference with the same players. I got the same impression but Kaiser went so far as to suggest that despite his doubts about the prospect, blind market euphoria would probably drive SVB prices up.

Curiously, he felt that DML was not as good a prospect, despite its wide exposure and carried through feasibility arrangement with Teck. He suggested that the closeallogy plays were undervalued by comparison and better mathematically. I got the distinct impression however all this deflection from DML was nothing more than a swipe at Grandich for having called the play while he did not.

In fact, he seemed to take several shots at DML suggesting that the $$ had been made there already. None of his comments seemed to in any way focus on the prospectivity of the geology. They all seemed to be focused on the speculative premium built into DML. Fagan hedged a bit on this as well.

I was quite disappointed with the majority of speakers as the merits of geology was rarely discussed while every pet investment theory from charting to reading tea leaves was touted. I believe the Hard Rock Analyst twosome were supporting SVB and DML based on geology, but I missed their spiel.

It really seemed like Kaiser had a bee in his bonnet for Grandich who I thought came across in a very gracious and up front way. This is who I am and what I do. If you don't like it don't listen to me. His spiel was straight forward, opinionated and based primarily on his belief in the ability of management to produce capital gains. Again geology was rarely discussed other than in terms of better odds for this or that.

Pallium was the only SVB player there.
