Hi BM, in relation with your last post regarding tax implication, here is the question: Lets say that BELL instead of waiting 6 years before buying CGI ( the January agreement) propose to M. Godin to exchange 1 share of BCE for 1 share of CGI. In other words, Bell could buy out CGI before time at a cheaper price. If that append on May 21th, for us, small investors, do we have to pay to Federal Gouv a tax on Capital gain since BCE is at 65$ and CGI is at 46$ ?
Thanks

Au revoir
