Living in Germany, I had been deprived of CNBC for several years. (They used to have the NBC Super Channel here, but it was moved to a channel too high for my TV.) About a month ago, the Dow Jones station here, which had been broadcasting in Germany all day, started showing CNBC from 2030 (2.30pm ET).

Although I am glad to have it back, I find that it is a distraction in the evening, when I am tired of watching the screen all day and it is getting late (9pm). Sometimes I just can't bear to have the commentators going over for the umpteenth time the same news stories.

I found the morning shows to be much more useful to get a grasp of the day.
