Greg, DELL's block and nonblock mf has been negative since last week.

The divergence is in the midst of being resolved now. Are you saying that the volume on the down legs today was larger than the volume on down legs previously? And there seems to be a variance between your observations and Darrell's ... or am I missing something here?

GM, "key reversal" indeed...

Technically, DELL is poised for a nice drop over the next several days. (And, yes, I'm aware of the earning$ effect.)

Fundamentally, the market is staring down the barrel of a rather nasty currency (er, debt mgt) problem. The US$ is already showing signs of fatigue, the yield curve is turning ugly and bond traders are nervous. This does not bode well for equities, and DELL is not exempt from such dynamics.

Now, before I feel the wrath of this thread -- and the shouts of, "Stone him, kill the bear" -- please recognize that true-grit bulls would delight in such buying opportunities. It's just perspective, right?

Good luck.

Greg,

Once a while, you proved to be charming. :-)

Re. DELL, I wrote calls (June 95, premium $7.5), and by closing the bid had dropped to $5.

Thus I had a bottle of Chateau Lafite for dinner. :-)

Ibexx

PS: Remember you heard mefirst, if DELL does turn negative in the short term.
