VANCOUVER, BC, May 11, 1998: The Company wishes to announce that the 1998 exploration programme has commenced at the South Voisey Bay Project in Labrador, Canada. The South Voisey Bay Project consists of
seperate joint ventures between thirteen public companies and Donner Minerals Ltd. on lands located 90 km south of the Voisey Bay nickle-copper-cobalt deposits. The exploration programme is managed by
Teck Exploration and Donner Minerals Ltd.

The joint venture partners have recently approved the 1998 two phase exploration programme totaling approximately C$15.0 million for the South Voisey's Bay Project. Teck/Donner have proposed a significant
exploration budget for Lattitude's jointly owned Project 79. This property is now jointly held 25% by Lattitude Minerals Corp. 25% by Donner Minerals Ltd. and 50% by NDT Ventures Ltd. with Teck Corporation as Field Manager. Project 79 is contiguous to the south boundary of the of the Donner-Northern Abitibi Mining joint venture
and approximately 2.5 km south of the new nickel copper-cobalt discovery by Teck/Donner in December 1997. The significant mineralization is hosted in an olivine gabbro-troctolite intrusion which is well defined by a 2-3 milligal gravity high and a coincident
positive 200 gamma magnetic anomaly which strikes southwestward and directly through Lattitude's Project 79. During 1997, Teck drilled four wide spaced holes over a 2 km distance on Project 79 near this coincident geophysical anomaly. All holes intersected disseminated mineralization with anomalous Ni-Cu-Co values above the base of an olivine gabbro intrusion. Down hole geophysical electromagnetics detected a strong off-hole EM conductor in one of these holes.

The proposed two phase 1998 budget consists of total expenditures of $987,000.00 of which over 82% has been allocated to drilling. The drilling will test the off-hole pulse EM anomaly detected in 1997 and
further test the favorable olivine gabbro and the related gravity magnetic anomaly along its 3km strike length.

All field exploration work will be managed by Teck Exploration under the supervision and input of Donner Minerals as project operator. The
Company is responsible for 25% of the costs of this proposed budget.

On Behalf of the Board of Directors,
LATTITUDE MINERALS CORP.
