knight,

Mr. Metals mentioned in some of his posts that he has
friends on SI that know how to contact him outside of SI.

If Mr. Metals feels that he can contribute to this thread
in such a way that other's will value his input, both pro
and con, then he can decide if he wants to ask SI if there
is any way he can return as Mr. Metals. This may mean he
has to up-front agree on conditions and only be allowed on
for a probationary period as Mr. Metals.

There was a post between Mr. Metals and another that came to
the exasperation point where they talked about the possibility
of "I'll meet you outside". Now were both, none or only one,
really serious about doing this ?

Would it not be best to create the conditions to prevent such
incidences from occuring simply because the purpose of this IPMCF
thread is so people can give and receive information to make a
monetary decision on a company's stock.

If a person engages people in a way that creates conflicts of
a personal nature, and the posts deviate from the purpose of
supplying investment information, then people have the right
to ask SI to have this person removed simple because they paided
SI money for a service, and they feel that SI is not delivering
the goods as long as SI allows a person identified as disruptive
to remain.

You ask if all this could have been handled differently.

Mr. Metals was very aware that he had the ability to antagonize
people. Mr. Metals was very aware of other people's hostility
towards him. Mr. Metals was concious of the escalation of
events, and his course of action was to continue until he was
kicked of SI. He did not do as he did for the purpose of being
kicked off SI. He was unable to discontinue/stop/change how he
was interacting with pro-ipmcf threaders.

Maby Mr. Metals derives his identity thru these types of
interactions with people. Maby just being a regular/nice/polite
person is not satisfying enought. It's not only correct and
recommended to sometimes "not be nice", but only in self-defence.
It seemed that noone was threating Mr. Metals, but he went on
the offense, causing people to go on the defence.....eventually
the situation became such that at times it looked like Mr. Metals
and others were all in attack mode.

Mr. Metals, if you return under a new name, and you find yourself
in attack mode, withdraw to a calm mode and continue with the
facts you are presenting, and you will be received as a valuable
contributor to a thread. You may even hear "horror" stories about
a past threader name Mr. Metals.
