Retired Persons Services and Harris Publishing To License Company's
Multi-Language Year 2000 Toolset

DENVER, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Accelr8 Technology Corporation
(Nasdaq: ACLY) announced today that it has entered into two new licensing
agreements for its Year 2000 software tools which assist with identifying,
processing and preparing for Year 2000 compliance.
Alexandria, Va.-based Retired Persons, a not-for-profit pharmacy service
for the American Association of Retired Persons, and Harris Publishing, the
premier international publisher of alumni and membership directories, each
purchased Accelr8's Year 2000 software solution, the Navig8 2000 Toolset.
Both organizations will be using Accelr8's Toolset to renovate their
Digital VMS code for Year 2000 compliance.
Commenting on the purchase of Accelr8's innovative software tools, Cheryl
Fanello, Year 2000 Manager for Retired Persons, stated, "We were looking for
a multi-language tool that would work in the Digital VMS environment. Accelr8
was the only company with a product that could run on Digital VMS BASIC, C,
and COBOL. Accelr8 is providing us with all the necessary tools to accomplish
our Year 2000 compliance task in an effective, timely manner."
Harris Publishing Vice President of Administration Joe Donia, added, "I
am not aware of any other tools in the marketplace that address Digital VMS
BASIC code. Accelr8's Toolset, which is specific to both the Digital VMS and
UNIX platforms, has an engine designed for BASIC code. This engine will
greatly increase our productivity, allowing us to speed up our code conversion
for solving the Year 2000 problem."
Thomas V. Geimer, Accelr8's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer discussed
the Company's new contracts and recent performance: "These new contracts are
important to Accelr8 as we continue to forge relationships throughout a broad
range of industries. Our agreements with Retired Persons Services as well as
Harris Publishing are indicative of the vast opportunities in the marketplace
for our software applications. They also further demonstrate the Company's
ability to provide important solutions, serve a diverse client base and meet a
variety of customers' needs. In fact, during the first nine months of fiscal
1998, we have strengthened our position within the automotive, chemical,
services, manufacturing and pharmaceutical arenas.
"Most recently, our core business, migration, has been gaining significant
momentum, despite the increased emphasis on Year 2000 compliance.
Furthermore, we are continuing to realize royalties from licensing agreements
worldwide. All of these factors will contribute to our anticipated strong
financial performance during fiscal 1998."
Accelr8 Technology Corporation's Year 2000 offering is the industry's
premier multi-platform, multi-language solution providing IT users on Digital
Open VMS, UNIX and NT midrange and client/server platforms the same tool
regardless of their respective code bases. The Navig8 2000 Toolset
facilitates the Year 2000 solution from inventory through renovation for
systems using BASIC, C, C++, COBOL, Fortran, and Visual Basic. Denver-based
Accelr8 offers a full spectrum of systems modernization solutions including
products, training, consulting and factory services.

Ram, what a turn around yesterday. Fortunately it was associated with down day of NASDAQ stocks. My feeling is that all the hammered y2k stocks want to catch up but they only need few market UP days. We do not see them bucking the trend as in the past.

Almost all y2k stocks have gotten a small price pop after earnings which led to several DOWN days and most are still down. That brings me to TAVA. I hope it will buck the trend after but I will be watching carefully. Earlier indications are good for TAVA as the ask quote is edging up.

Good luck to all!!
