LU has a formidable presence in the RBOC carrier class switch space with the Globebview 2000 and the GV2000+.

I thought that LU wants a data company to compete with Cisco, not a telecom company because they are already a dominate player. I feel that what you said is another reason LU should pick Bay over Ascend. IMHO
