Greg:
I think that Dell will still tend upwards both ST and LT.
Some 6 mil shares bought around the opening yesterday, then were
dumped when bond prices dropped near end of day> Mere noise but a lot of it, people playing it safe.
Tomorrow difficult to figure, the last news item tonight implied
that a case will be brought against Microsoft.Nothing new about that,
they have been talking that way for years, but effect on Dell uncertain.
Also it highlights the importance of long term thinking on Dell
due to the difficulties of short term timing.

Would anyone like to comment on what the folks shorting DELL are likely to do when they see Mikey's smiling face on CNBC next Wed after DELL posts record earnings Tues. after the close of say .46-.47 which is a 74% increase from the .27 a year ago.

What are the analysts going to do when they look at the report and confirm DELL is executing flawlessly and MD tells them he sees overall PC growth continuing to strengthen, DELL continuing to grow revenue at 50%+ and gaining market share?

Does anyone doubt that this is what's going to happen? When is the last time anyone has heard a negative word out of MD? It just doesn't happen.
IMHO overvalued bellwhether stocks like DELL,MSFT,CSCO,LU,GE etc. don't go down just because they are overvalued. They keep going UP unless or until they screw up. So unless DELL dissappoints, I think we'll have a repeat of FEB. when all the shorts covered after earnings.
OK, let's hear it, tell me why I'm wrong because I would like to know.
Regards,
Lee Martin
