Dan,

I'm sorry to hear that the libertarian winds blowing through the "How High" thread cause you an upset stomach. I'm glad that current PC technology doesn't support an olfactory function or I'd have to hold my nose while perusing the tired statist regurgitations that permeate this venue.

Contrary to the spinmeisters you quote, I as a long time MSFT shareholder welcome and encourage a confrontational approach to the current conflict. It needs an airing in the full light of day. It's not about money, though I stand to lose financially, but a matter of principle.

Bill Gates has yet to prove that he is a John Galt. Time will tell if he is up to the challenge ahead. Risking the future of his company for the right to "extend, assimilate and destroy" would be a grand gesture, IMO.

You really should wade through the "turgid prose" of the Fountainhead, Dan. I'm sure it would provide you ample ammunition for more witty, acerbic commentary. And I'm happy to provide you and others here the opportunity to flame away. Water on a ducks back, amusing and informative.

Regards, JB

Dan,

>>Oh, don't worry Norm. If you have the stomach for it, check out the how high thread, where "Bill should pull up stakes and move to (whereever)" is second only to "Bill Gates is John Galt" among the faithful. Sadly, I don't think either line is of much use legally.

I have checked out the High Times thread but I'll take Reggie over what goes on there any day.

Went to the bookstore to buy Atlas Shrugged but could not find it until I remembered to look under FICTION. Of course, finding a first edition of The Road Ahead is impossible unless you check the men's room.

Cheers,

Norm
