Occasional COC is an interesting point. It is certainly faster and cheaper to go that route. I think the problem that Naxos(and all of the DDS)have is that they have zippo credibility in the marketplace.
If you use occasional COC, they will say that you did it on hot spots. If you produce without defining a resource, they will say that you are either salting, or know that you have a limited property. I think that the market will look for reasons to disbelieve all of the DD's unless they can put a preponderance of evidence on the table, or trade off of someone elses credibility(JV, merger, financial partner, etc)

Hopefully, 100% coc wont be needed for long, and the market will give everyone the benefit of the doubt. The scary part is if Bre-X had never happened, and the dirts had put the level of proof on the table that they already have, we would all be further down the road.
