The Poobah:

Those questions were actually from the 1995 annual report (I was looking for any mention of Sony as a big customer in 1995). What amazed me is that those questions are still being asked today. You are close with (1) - the analysts were scared even then about competition - today the Koreans are backpedalling a bit because they just can't develop the same kinds of results, the Japanese have always been quite strong, technically right with (2) - though Wilf likes to highlight the customization by calling them CSICs and with (3) right again - many are close and LSI is closer than most.
