New Dye-Sublimation Printer Targeted to the $4.5 Billion Digital Imaging and Digital Photography Market

Imaging Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ITEC) today announced expanded product offerings in the rapidly growing digital photographic market with the first shipments of its next generation digital color printers.

The ColorImage 3000 is a dye-sublimation color printer targeted for the mid- to high-end digital photography market. It features proprietary software, which includes color management applications developed exclusively by Imaging Technologies Corp. These new printers are currently in production and shipping from ITEC's Printer Systems Division.

"The ColorImage 3000 is a key component in ITEC's expanding market presence in the burgeoning digital photography arena," said Brian Bonar, chief executive officer of Imaging Technologies. "ITEC already has a number of products for the digital camera market, including digital image storage media, related card readers, as well as digital cameras. This industry is growing dramatically and products like the ColorImage 3000 improve the quality of output, while reducing the time and cost of producing photographic color images."

The ColorImage 3000 delivers digital photos with the look and feel of traditional glossy photographs. Precise control of thermal printing combines with a new high-density ink to produce vivid saturated colors, smooth gradations, and print-to-print color uniformity. The
ColorImage 3000 utilizes an Adobe PhotoShop export module with Apple PowerMacintosh, as well as Microsoft Windows 95/98 operating systems. The printer combines enhanced image quality, image stability and permanence, with color-matching flexibility, enlarged print region, and cross-platform connectivity.
