Well, I would be suprised if most Americans were not behind MSFT. After all, times are good, kids are going to college for what passes nowdays as a degree, and a lot of people have their in 401K and in the stock market. And I will bet a ton that a whole bunch own MSFT. Of course they are behind it. They don't want anything to happen to the good times.

Unfortunately, in the DOJ, things are tried in a court of law, not the court of public opinion. Any other way would be a dangerous precedent. Also if this goes before a court of law with a jury, I think MSFT is in trouble. The first thing that will kick out a potential jurist is if he owns any MSFT stock or a fund that owns it. Since that will eliminate a lot of people with intellegence, I think you will find the jury much more anti large company and much more anti MSFT.

re: "No most are pretty happy I think"

I survey was commissioned just a week or so ago, that showed Americans as mostly behind MSFT. If
I find it, I'll post it.

I'm referring to non-Americans as in Australians, British etc. etc.
