Some have asked why non-shareholders post on this thread. It is a good question but it needs to be broadened. Certainly reading the posts can be seen as helping those who are long, short or contemplating a position refine their decisions. But what is gained from posting? It might have to do with the fact that people, monkeys, apes, lemurs etc are social animals. Let's face it, FAMH and this thread are interesting. Is FAMH now a good investment? There are differences of opinion on this. But clearly there is quite a consensus on the desirability of expressing opinions on this. If I were long, I would be heartened by the number of posts. I don't think that all of these people intend to bash the stock and then after the price falls further sell their shares. Some probably are trying to influence Ira to do the right thing. A useless exercise I imagine but certainly an expression of hope for the company to do well.
