I think you are correct in your view of how the silver markets have operated for the last eight years or so.

I am inclined to think that the pros may come a cropper shorting against a genuine developing shortage in silver. They seem to have worked it one more time in the last week.

Of course, my views are colored by wishful thinking as the holder of silver mining stocks.

I don't look for anything like the historic bubble of the Hunt era, but I think that silver is as vulnerable to bearish sentiment as common stocks were in 1937--or in 1981. Ten dollar silver seems a reasonable hope to me.

Ray: My experience as a commodities broker - confirms your
post. In commods. and stocks: THE NEWS FOLLOWS THE
TREND. "Following the herd mentality" is a psychological thing
we all learned as kids - whether clothing alike, hair styles, rings
in ears, whatever. Hard to break ingrained habits, BUT that's
what separates the pros from the herd....IMHO.
