Overhead is high volume areas from the past where a lot of shares exchanged hands...When a stock is heading back toward an all-time high, you do not consider that area as overhead but virgin territory..In other words, you can't count those shares in your figures...So we are talking about a stock approaching an area from the past where if it penetrates, it will not be an all time high...However, unless a stock has the proper volume level, it will hit its head at these overhead points and be knocked backwards...In other words, it is usually a good place to sell your shares and take profits...I use a certain figure to determine overhead on NASDAQ stocks, I keep that figure to myself....Bis morgan...Mark
