Interesting post Chris,

According to the article, SGS's pilot fab will only be ready by the year 2000 (at best the way I see it). Probably by 2001 the way these things usually go in Europe. What is still encouraging to me re PRIA is that they already have a 300 pilot line in place, and will probably have 4 to 8 established fabs by the time SGS can even show a working model.

This SGS news is not to be underestimated, but I think PRIA still has a great advantage.

Also (just wondering out loud), I wonder if SGS will need to break into any of PRIA's patents for their fab equipment. Who knows?, but great post, thanks.
