>I don't think he would get on a sinking ship.
No imagination....let me list a few potentials
--big bucks
--wants to get out of the cold and come to sunny CA
--his girlfriend lives in Fremont
--Kodak was going to fire him anyway
--the sheer challenge and opportunity to make RDRT a better company
--he is just plain nuts
:o)

What is plain is that RDRT is on the make for new management, which means they know they have some problems. Knowing that is a precondition to fixing them so that is progress.

It would be interesting if this guy is aimed at Terastor NFR opportunity down the road. The Opto part is intrigueing.

Best...Tom

Can someone explain to me the optical equation in this situation? I had not really thought of RDRT as being a big player in anything optical. Is this an extension into the Near Field Recording that is being developed by TeraStor and Quinta?

Also, it would seem to be an important jb since the guy being replaced is sent to Japan to be co-president. I would think this is a pretty important position within RDRT.

Regards,

Mark
