Chris,If your interested there is a really good book on breakout
buying by Nicholas Darvas-"How I made a Million in the Stock Market
published around 1960.Darvas bought breakouts after consolidation.
Because of his book the American Stock Exchange eliminated buy stop
orders.

could you do a price pattern comparison of the sp500

open up a sp500 chart and compare from 7/19/95 vs. 4/27/98. use those dates as our common reference point.

and then compare the price pattern before and after the reference dates.

if 1995 proves accurate to now, we should base another 1 month before another rally up.
