That is not taking into account that the stock almost tripled. To have gotten the triple return you had to know exactly when the stock would be going up and correspondingly when not to have the covered call. That is not a feat that can be accomplished by any mortal man I have ever known. If you didn't get the full triple return, then you were assuming risk for which you did not receive full payment.
