Robert: The important part of that news release:

said James C. Morgan, chairman and chief executive officer. "Nearly 50 percent of this quarter's new systems orders were for 0.25 micron and below technology, more than twice the amount from just one year ago, demonstrating the rapid industry transition to smaller line-widths."

Good Luck To Each And All

Somebody on the Yahoo thread said the MMs have been driving down the price to buy back their May calls, and sold puts today, and several hundred 22.5 and 25 puts (and 22.5 calls) traded hands today:

cboe.pcquote.com

I don't know if the Yahoo guy is right, but CYMI is up slightly in after hours trading, several 20 5/8 and 20 3/4 trades:

Any comments?

Robert,
<Applied met their numbers, new orders weren't too shabby all things considered:>
What are you reading that I'm not??
The only glimpse of sunlight on Amats release was orders for .25.
Amat is now estimating .23c for the next Qtr, with no visibility in sight.
This is the Gorilla what had how many Qtr's improvements?? How much longer can Wall Street give downward revisions, before Wall Street admits that Asia is a mess, and yes, America has also become a global economy??
