I hope this isn't the case, but all the firms that now have buys/strong buys may feel the need to downgrade. It's hard to justify a buy when you've been wrong for two quarters and management told youe earnings were going to be down again. Downgrades come in twos and threes, so watch out tomorrow. I would sell some in the morning tomorrow (a limit order, not a market order) and then look to buy back in a bit, either later in the day or week.

I am not short AMAT and hope I am wrong. That is the case frequently. The only bright spot in this is for certain 0.25 micron equipment makers like DPMI, ASMLF, CYMI, etc. Maybe you all should swap into those for a bit.
