David,
That is great to hear. It costs a lot of money for a little company like NRI to market an emerging product like biometrics. The cash flow consequences are extremely worrisome. NRI was going broke waiting for customers to accept this product.

I looked up some more info on Sanchez, I may be dreaming but their Profile product would be a natural for NRID.

Regards to all,
Sheldon

David,
I picked this up from the Yahoo Thread, Although, I don't completely trust the thread, this seems legit.

May 12 1998
4:37PM EDTI attended todays meeting at the Tampa Convention Center.
Several things were discussed along with officer elections. The 1st qtr
results were great and based on commercial sales. The next qtr should be
just as good if not better. The reverse split was voted on and should be
effective within 2 weeks. I spoke to JG for 20 min after the meeting and
got a very good feeling about the future of this company. I saw the
software in action and used it myself. I liked what I saw and it was
very easy to use. They have a couple of scanners that will be out on the
market this summer ( approx 99.00) that will greatly aid in selling the
software. Everything looks very bright for this company. The biometrics
explosion will hit within 2-3 yrs ( analyst project the industry to sell
1 billion in product ). This past year the insustry sold 25 million in
biometrics and NRI was responsible for about 4 %. CA world rated this
company outstanding and that says alot. I like the software, the future
of NT security is Biometrics, the company is not relying on cash
reserves as it did in the past, and the sales personal are buying stock
in the company as much as 30K for one person I spoke with. Hope this
helps everone....and the 4$ buyout is not true.. I asked. If there were
a legitimate offer, then the company, as an officer pointed out to me,
has an obligation to inform the stockholders immediately.

Wholesale is where I want to be. That 2.9 min. is more than twice last years revs. When do they get it ?
From the release it appears that any software sold after 98 is not included in the 2.9 min. Though I don't know whats to stop XL from stocking up.
I hope XL has to have orders before they recieve the Nri software. Hopefully we will have another large order for 1999.
I will sleep better at least for now. Nri's cash position was scary.
