Yes, stateside MMs with other MMs as friends can usually get around the problem. MM A says I'm short XYZ and MM B says I'm short RST. If either one tries to squeeze us, can we agree to bail each other out for a few days?

There is indeed honor among thieves...and so it goes.

But, off shore may be a much different story...those people may not have the friendly access to another MM to borrow from.
